I got the opportunity to travel to see 1876 play their first show in Portland this past month. I also got a chance to experience the Portland, Oregon punk scene for the first time and it was definitely worth the trip alone to experience this particular community. We sat down for this interview and we discussed how this band formed, what it is like being native in the current music industry, and their complex recording process that breathes new life into the punk genre.
